Marlene, Your presentation reminds me how much can be learned from a single reading experience. I myself use War with Grandpa as the basis for a writing prompt where students plan a new attack for Peter (better not let the conflict management people hear about this). The debate portion of your unit excites me and I can hardly wait to try it next year. What great ties for all areas of the curriculum. Good job today.
